'Tis the season to give and receive germs

Hey everybody. Hope you all had a good 'lil Christmas. Christmas, a season to give and receive of course, lies squarely in the midst of winter, a season rife with the giving and receiving of cold and flu. Luckily, there is at least one cough drop manufacturer that ♥’s Papyrus.

Speaking of coughing...

Menomena's "Cough Coughing" off of "I am the Fun Blame Monster"

I want to share one more thing I came across:

... sortof a fun read, if only for a couple lines like this:
"It seemed counterintuitive, but the higher-ups didn't know what they were doing," the ex-officer said. "I was once ordered to feed documents into a copying machine in order to make backups of some very important top-secret records, but it turned out to be some sort of device that cut the paper to shreds."

Foo-Foo Beer and Prisoner Christmas

For ladies with bad taste, and dudes who asked for a set of tits this Christmas, I want to recommend a Papyrus-laden beer for ya. It's from the makers of Michelob Ultra. It's got beer, pomegranate, and raspberry... Rainbow flag and Astro-Glide sold separately.

If this don't get yer clam jammed, nothing will.

I wanna leave ya with a little video from Brad Neely and the Super Deluxe. Alrighty ya'll. Be safe out there.

Merry Christmas or whatever it is ya celebrate while those nutty Jesus freaks are gettin plastered.

Among the sucks

I ran across this thread post today at a "Survivor Sucks" forum.

This is the logo I made a few days ago for my future online game. Any comments so that I could improve on this? image

It's awesome!! but just one thing...
That papyrus font is WAY overused. I see it all the time !(even in tv ads)

You should pick a more original one, even though it's pretty nice.

Hmph. Naysayers! Why they gotta hate?

DIAMOND: A Neil Diamond Tribute

L Nichols came across one of the finest Papyrus specimens:

Thanks, for sendin'! And be sure to check out L Nichols's site. There's some rad lookin' art, a comic, and a blog among other things.

On a more serious topic, as human beings we struggle to find purpose- not only in our own lives, but in the very existence of anything at all. Well now, for the first time, one of life's burning questions can finally be answered.

Papyrus Onslaught...

On Tuesday, I ran across these:

Publix Holiday plants.

Tryptophan based sleep aid being peddled by plastic jackasses.

Mercedes Holiday ad... Professional ad agency shame.

Also, in case you're not sure, and not yet exhausted taking every online Quiz at your disposal, there's a Right Brain/Left Brain Quiz that was kinda fun. It's from the Art Institute in Vancouver.

My results...

Left Brain Right Brain
39% 61%

Your Left Brain Percentages
47% Reality-based (Your most dominant characteristic)
34% Logical
31% Sequential
27% Verbal
9% Symbolic
0% Linear (Your least dominant characteristic)

Your Right Brain Percentages
50% Random (Your most dominant characteristic)
42% Holistic
40% Fantasy-oriented
39% Intuitive
32% Nonverbal

If you got a few minutes, coasting into Christmas break, take a little quiz.

Oh, and I'm a Virgo.

Squidbillies [heart] Papyrus

I was checkin' out the Squidbillies DVD and saw another use of Papyrus on the show.

Early Kyler encourages a stripper to find Jesus/expose breasts.

A while ago, I uploaded Simon Smith and His Amazing Dancing Bear to YouTube because there just wasn't one on there. Today, on stereogum, they linked to Okkervil River's site where you can download a free album of covers they did.

Holiday Fiesta, Brawndo

Thanks to Josh who dropped this off to me a little while ago.

Nothing says legibility like Papyrus in all caps.

In other news, the beverage Brawndo, partly responsible for the blight of fictional future Americans in Mike Judge's follow up film to Office Space, "Idiocracy", will be hitting store shelves soon.

The movie, if you haven't seen it, was quietly released to theaters and DVD in much the same way that Office Space, was released. Office Space became a cult classic but that remains to be seen for Idiocracy, despite the poignancy of the ideas or hilarity of some of the dialog.

the same sorta slime/proof I've been waiting for

The press goes by the polls, the polls answer to a status quo:

Telephone Polling [mp3]

Just listen to that! The press lives and dies by those polls. Debates and candidate tiers center on the top poll candidates. By not mentioning Ron Paul, yet continuing to suggest he's low in the polls, even if you aren't a Ron Paul supporter, you'd have to at least wonder, what are these creeps afraid of?

Furthermore, what else don't they want us to know/do/say/think? How else are they manipulating the information on which we depend by what is supposed to be a free press.

Somebody changed their mind.

Then they went ahead and plopped the Jasmine Green Tea up by the Cous Cous:

This just adds to the previous posts claiming that "Tea in general, [hearts] Papyrus." Basically, if you have anything that has to do with tea, Papyrus is the font for you.
